About The Event
Problems encountered by current technological development, such as food problems, alternative energy, natural resources, disease control, and biomedical care, all rely on plant science to provide solutions. In the past, biological research focused more on the regulation of plant physiology by a single factor (whether it is temperature, salinity, transcription factor, etc.); while contemporary science focuses on systematic and network-based investigation, it is necessary to cultivate researchers who are broad and cross-domain. ideas. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of National Taiwan University, the Institute took this opportunity to organize a series of lecture events, inviting academician-level speakers in related fields, and leveraging on their rich experience, sensitivity and creativity in science, to provide students, teaching and research People with broader thinking.
The series of lectures set by the Institute of Phytophysiology is "Talking with Masters - Academician Plant Science Series Lectures", and three academicians are invited to give special speeches on Monday afternoons in the second week of September, October and November. , and arrange a tea party for symposium, invite teachers and students to talk, not only to promote knowledge exchange, but also to help the latecomers to expand their contacts.
